CLOSING CHARTS

:: Henry Ford ::

3:55 PM
HIGH VOLATILITY TYPICAL OF EXPIRATIONSWe will end up making an inside day on DOW and SP Futures today and it looks like we are going to go out on a 32% retracement off of yesterdays low to high excursion. We dipped to the 50% area around 3:30 and have bounced and rallied into the close. Will post both charts as we close. I think we are seeing hedging ahead of INTC new conference.

PENNANT BUSTEDBroke it to the downside ....now we see if it turns into a bullish flag or a double bottom test...Wednesday's are typically reversals of Tuesday's action during expirations week, so we will see.....I will throw up a final chart at EOD ...

GREENSPAN MOMENT AT 10 AM

9:20 AM
GOOD REPORTSIndustrial production double the expected rate...Capacity Utilization a percentage point higher than anticipated.

9:10 AM
GOOD MORNINGProbably a gap open to the downside once again. Weak European markets and profit taking from yesterday are weighing on the futures. On the earnings front, a bunch of companies are reporting this morning and all but one are meeting or exceeding consensus thus far. The exception is Caterpillar, which missed and guided lower... Later today, Greenspan will provide his semi-annual monetary policy testimony before the Senate. Industrial Production and Utilization due out at 9:15
